His statement comes in response to Turkish President Recep Tayip Erdogan's call for the Turkish diaspora in Germany not to vote for German Chancellor Angela Merkel, her CDU, but not for SPD and Gelbrit, saying these parties are against Turkey.
Hahn urged EU member states to examine “strategic consequences”.
He said that Turkey's EU entry talks, following the EU member states' decision not to open this chapter, are “de actually” frozen.
