Emergency officials have reported that two explosions have been heard and that black smoke has been seen coming out of the “Archema” factory in Crosby, broadcasting Express.
During the heavy rainfall caused by the hurricane “Harvey”, the chemical factory “Archema” lost the ability to cool the chemical components that should be kept cool.
The company has already said there is no way to prevent the explosion.
The fire caused by the explosion is expected to involve only the area within the factory, while residents have already been evacuated to an area of 2.4 km around the factory as a precautionary measure.
The last workers in the factory were evacuated on Tuesday.
The Federal Aviation Administration has forbidden flying planes near the factory. /Express/
