A statement published by local police reports that around 05am local time, an explosion occurred at the Dar Al-Farooq ʼslam Centre in the Bloomington region and that an investigation has been launched in connection with the event.

The executive director of the American Muslim Community of Minnesota, Assad Zaman, at a news conference citing the statement of a witness from the mosque community, has stressed that immediately before the morning prayer a person with a truck threw out of the window inside the imam office something and then left quickly.

Explaining that during the moment of the explosion at the mosque there were about 20 people and that there were no dead people, Zaman has indicated that window windows were broken in his imam office.
