It has been more than 13 months since the Kosovo Energy Corporation's Legal Office (KEK) had asked the Constitutional Prosecutorship in Pristina to investigate the process of building illegal houses in the village of Shipilula in the Obilic municipality, since the village's territory in question of the Kosovo government's decision had been declared a national interest area, where construction and overbuilding were banned in the area.
But despite that, residents from this village, but also from other parts of Kosovo, with profit purposes, have built numerous objects, where within a year the cost of expropriation has increased from 5.5 to 15.5 now estimated.
In a letter issued by the paper “Voice”, which the KEK Legal Office has sent to Pristina's Constitutional Prosecutorship, it is said that with the draft coal-making division in 2014 to expropriate 52 hectares from this area, namely around the village of Shippitule, only 29 houses have been recorded, while after this period the number of houses and objects has exceeded 200, where they are all built for the sole purpose of the material benefit.
