But, sources claim that unlike previous measures, the Antiterrorism Directorate has long been in a state of readiness, and one of the reasons is the flow of entry into our country during the tourist season.
As in the wake of the terrorist attacks in London, Manchester, Paris and Berlin, Albanian police have increased their attention to objects and areas considered to be risk, such as public facilities and tourist areas.
Sources say the main move by the State Police is related to the commitment of anti-terror agents who are keeping a watch on people with radical trends, but also their connections.
This antiterror-led procedure, but the Information Service is also being carried out indefinitely because of the two sensational judicial files they have on them from terrorism charges to combat recruits in Syria.
One of the files is known as “Inames”, already found guilty even by the Red Crimes Appeal. The second file has been charged with only 4 suspects in Albania and 18 others in Kosovo, allegedly planning a terrorist attack at the stadium where the Albania-Israel match would be held.
During this tourist season, it becomes known that, especially at the border checkpoint of Morina and Qafe-Thana agents of Antiterror who are on the alert have interviewed persons who have been initially deemed suspicious to travel towards Albania.
But, despite police measures, changes to the Penal Procedure Code predict the transfer for review of acts of terrorism by the Run crimes to surrounding courts.
