American professor warns risks if Kosovo does not integrate into EU

Former US Balkan family Edward Joseph has declared that the sooner Kosovo is fully integrated into the international community, it will be better for Albanians, but also for Serbs and the entire region.

Joseph, who is now professor at Johns Hopkins University, has said that even in the case of other open issues, such as Macedonia's name, the unstable situation in Bosnia, the extension of full recognition of Kosovo will only increase instability in the Balkans, Serbian media quoted Indesksonline as broadcasting.

According to his assessment, various political conglomerates and dreams, including those for divisions that would add to Macedonia's instability.

He thinks it is understandable why Belgrade likes the idea of Kosovo's full international integration.

However, refusing this approach means extending current instability. The reality is not always pleasant and his acceptance is always more productive than rejection, Joseph thinks.
