Trafficking in human beings in Albania an ongoing phenomenon, though in new ways and forms. There are also challenges to reintegration.

Traffickers always use cheating for a better life. The identity of the victims in the material you will follow has been protected by modified voice and image.

The following material is a collaboration between the Voice of America and network B The investigative journalism officer.

Stigma makes girls trafficked twice as victims.

Everyone's right to a new beginning. Even victims of trafficking. But often, when the Kalvar of “is just over, the” street starts facing prejudice, stigma and rejection of loved ones, family and society.

- Hello, Mom. I miss you so much. I'm also upset. When I talk to you, give me strength. ”

A loving, family voice can change your life. But in some cases it is almost impossible to get what you miss so much.

This 19 year-old is one of thousands of Albanian girls trafficked over the years. One of the victims of an ongoing painful phenomenon, often with new ways and forms, but always through deception for a better life and the sole purpose of the victim's maximum exploitation.

It has managed to save its way after years of exploitation outside Albania. It's been located in the various and equal “center for several months to try to restore normal life. But as he has left behind the darkest moments of life, he is facing other challenges that are very difficult with the family he needs more than ever, prejudice and stigma.

This is often due to ignorance of what a victim has been through. For her dark hours.

In my bad moments I felt pain. I was so hurt, scared. They beat me. I didn't know where I was. I was all alone. I thought scary things. I thought I wouldn't go back to my family and be happier.

Another young woman, in a different type of triaptim situation, is in the same nightmare.

I felt really bad during that time, actually. I've gone to extremes. I never wanted to live again. ”

Much of the victims come from troubled situations and families. The understanding and love of the family would be the beginning of a return to normal life. But it's often the first ones they refuse.

According to Stella Tanelar, project manager in the various and equalized “organisation” the first months of reintegration are very difficult.

In most cases trafficking victims feel rejected by their family, family members, or even by the community. It is usually fathers and brothers who reject their daughter the most. ”

One of the traffickers claims that.

The two brothers have reacted very badly and have told Dad not to take me home. I felt so hurt by my brothers and I didn't expect it, it's things that anyone could ever do. ”

One of the major obstacles to getting out of the situation is the feeling of guilt, which is always accompanied by these girls, and especially the unforgiving.

I felt guilty at some point and said why I made this mistake, but later I realized that I was too young and I was lying to”, says 19-year-old.

Shirley Trimi has been working at the General Directorate of Antitrafic and Asylum at the Interior Ministry for over 20 years. It has gone through dozens of cases of trafficked persons and has dealt with concrete investigations of criminal acts, related to trafficking.

It also talks about the other side of the medal, the cases when families receive trafficked children back into their midst, who are even more positive about the reintegration process.

There are some families that, regardless of their educational level, regardless of economic level, are hospitable to the child, their family member, and want to attend as much as possible, assist one's integration and there's nothing better than that.” says Shirley Trimi

I don't wish anybody what I experienced. Parents should always be the child's support in any difficult situation they may face. Never abandon them.

But prejudice, and sometimes negative reactions, are also encountered in social environments, even where we think we should be protected.

Here's the 19-year-old trafficked story:

When they were escorting me home, I was tried by officers. I've been told banal words all the way. For 3 hours”

Often society is even more defiant. According to Anti-trafficking Director, trafficking victims suffer the fact that they are not trained as everyone else and that their dream is cut in the middle.
