Croatia in 2015 unilaterally gave up arbitration
Slovenia next week, Croatia will hand over the special note regarding the beginning of implementation of the arbitrary border decision, which Croatia already announced would not respect.
The government will also appoint the special group, which will co-ordinate implementation of the Arbitrazhi Court's decision, Slovenian Prime Minister Miro Cerar announced in conversation with the chiefs of border municipalities with Croatia, the Hina agency broadcasts.
Cerar stated that at the meeting, which later this month should be with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic, he will not negotiate the new border dispute decision, as Croatia requires, but for the implementation of the arbitrary decision, which, according to him, is binding on both countries.
Croatia in 2015 unilaterally gave up arbitration after it was found that Slovenian representatives have lobbied before judges to make their decision in their behalf. Zagreb has since insisted on new forms of negotiations with Slovenia on border dispute.
Arbitrazhi's permanent court in The Hague on 29 June confirmed that three-quarters of Piran's opposing Gulf belong to Slovenia, which by special act also won corridors through Croatian territorial waters towards international waters.
Zagreb refuses to comply with the court and Slovenia's decision to allow access to international waters.
