Prosecutor Wants Sentences for Attack on Ledri Vula

In her final address, Prosecutor Besa Limani demanded from the court that Gazmend Mirena be found guilty and condemned according to the law for the attack on Ledri Vula.

She also highlighted as a gravesome circumstance the low motive for committing criminal acts.

“Vula has stated that earlier there was never a problem with him, but that Crenari had a relationship with the same woman with whom the injured man was in connection with the time of the critical event”, the prosecutor Limani added.

It is about singer Dafina Zeqiri, the link with which the Voula himself in his statement has stressed that it has been the cause of attacks against him by the two accused.

The Motive of the attack was Dafina, since after Cranar I was in connection with it”, he had declared Voula in February of this year before the court.

Even the lawyer of the injured Voula, Tome Gashi, in his final address has declared that the attack on his client was meant for jealous motives.

Prosecutor Limani, along with lawyer Gashi, stressed that it is no conflicting that Gazmenh Kocaj and Gazmend Mirena have committed the criminal work they are charged with, which they say has been proven through witnesses, as well as by the self-damaged Voula.

The two accused's defence lawyers, Kosovar Kelmendi and Asdren Hoxha, demanded from the court that their defenders issue a free trial act, arguing that the prosecution has failed to verify the prosecution's thesis and the actual situation that Cocaj and Mirna are charged with.

Lawyer Hoxha said singer Gazaar Selimi, who on the critical night had been in the car with the Voula, had declared before the court that he failed to identify the Vula attackers and also failed to see the weapon.

And for Selimi's statement, the lawyer of the accused Kocaj, Kosovar Kelmendi, said the same in the statement given to the police has not backed the damageee Voula's statement, until in the statement given to the court, he has declared that the attackers were wearing masks.

Kosovar Kelmendi said further than Fidan Demolli, the third person in the car with Ledri Vula, has declared he has not seen the attackers because they were under cover.

“When it comes to Demollin, the prosecution forgets that in the police when there are the latest statements (which are given 50 minutes after the case) he claims he has not seen the attackers because they have been disguised. It's not a conflict that's hurt, and who's caused it to him is countering”, Kelmendi said.

Krenar Cocaj's lawyer stated that what happened in this trial is more inclined to the innocence of the accused.

It will, without any dilemma, eventually result in the Voula's statement, Selimi's statements, Demolli and the protection of the accused. Chocaj and Gazmend Mirena are charged that on the night of June 7, 2012, they had attacked Ledri Vula after they had taken a car and taken her out of the car on one of Pristina's main streets.

With this attack, Ledri Voula had suffered bodily injuries.

According to the indictment, Gazmend Mirena has hit the pistol seal with a compass in his left eye and head, while Crenar Cochaj with an iron rod on his back and on his head. As a result, accused Mirena and Chocaj have committed slight bodily injury, while Mirena is also accused of the criminal act of using the weapon, which had served to beat the victim.
