The prosecution gave final words for “Kumanovo”

The Public Prosecutor in Macedonia gave the final word from the specification of the indictment in the Trima Law case, an indictment which has been rejected by defence lawyers, arguing that the Public Prosecutor is not safe in its version.

“Referring to material evidence, operational information and particular investigative measures, the Kumanovo group has had two goals. The group was recruited by earlier warriors. Part of them in Macedonia have come for political (ideological and national purposes) while the rest for financial purposes” say by the Public Prosecutor.

The Prosecution Act divided members of the group into organisers and participants. Reference to the prosecution body, the war organiser in the neighborhoods of the Trima are: Beg Rizaj, Mirsad Ndecaj, Xhafer Zymberi, Zijadin Krasniqi and Andy Krasniqi. Sami Ukshini, known as Commander Sokoli, is only accused of participating in terrorist organisations and terrorism.

The defense opposes the indictment. According to defense attorneys, the Public Prosecutor is not safe in her version.

I think this combination of indictment is an uncertainty on the part of the prosecution. Those motives have not yet been detected, but according to our version the motive is just cause for the Albanian people, and no funding motive comes into consideration. There hasn't been any evidence of something like this until now, said lawyer Naser Raufi.

The accused's family do not believe the group has fought for material gain. They seek international legal assistance, adding that the case must be investigated by the Special Public Prosecutor.

I'm asking you a question: Would a man, the poorest one, go to war for money? The group's arrival is aimed at warning politicians like Ali Ahmeti, Artan Grubi and Menduh Thaci, who is nothing better than these other”, said Besnik Kabashi, parent of Betim Kabashi.

Family of those accused of logistics, mainly from Likova's village of Hotel, consider that their sons in this case have been infiltrated by a DSK agent from this village.

The prosecution's body at the session read a large part of the conversations recorded as material provided by special investigative measures, developed mainly at the beginning of May and during combat day. These discussions are taught that the target of special investigative measures has been mainly members of logistics, while wiretapped were also members of the group from Kosovo who have used phone numbers from Macedonian operators.

At the upcoming defence session, the defence will refer to the controversy and precision of the indictment.

Thirty-seven people are charged with fighting May 9th and May 10, 2015, in Kumanovo. At that time, eight members of the police and 10 members of the armed group were victimised.
