Prime Minister Alarms KEK Could Stop Energy Production, That's why

The Government's meeting has submitted a proposal on expropriation for public interest in real estate, which is affected by the implementation of the project to expand the superficial mine for explosive coals to generate electricity for KEK's needs in Hade and Shipitule. The deputy minister in charge of the ministry [...] has submitted the request.
Deputy acting minister of the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning, Rugova, who said legal conditions for expropriation have been met on the issue.
But he has been the prime minister in office, Isa Mustafa, who has said the key word on the case.
Mustafa has said that this expropriation is more than emergency because it is jeopardising for KEK to cut power production because expropriation has not been carried out over time.
He has said that if that happens, Kosovo will be forced to import electricity at high prices and suffer serious losses.
But without great losses it will not be saved now if the expropriation occurs.
Government chief said this is happening because of the lack of timely expropriation and permission of construction in this cadastral area, Klan Kosova reports.
Mustafa also said that the expropriation could be carried out 5m euros earlier, while now KEK this expropriation would cost between 15m and 20m euros.
He said, among other things, that those dealing with justice should be taken into account, while the executive should observe all legal requirements in precision.
