OBI adopts Kosovo resolution calling for recognition

The Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organisation for Islamic Co-operation (OBI), at the 44th session, held in Abidjan of Côte d'Ivoire, has adopted a resolution on Kosovo, in which they called on OBI member states to recognise Kosovo's citizenship based on their free and sovereign rights, as [...]
In the resolution adopted at the July 10th meeting, attended by representatives of Kosovo, the OBI Foreign Ministers Council takes into account a series of international resolutions, recognition of Kosovo by 114 states, including 38 members of the OBI, as well as reaffirming OBI's continued interest in the people of Kosovo and peace and stability in the entire Balkan region.
In resolution number 18/44, The OBI welcomes the progress achieved towards strengthening democracy in Kosovo, rule of law and institutional work on all relevant levels, providing peace and stability in the country and the region.
Also, OBI welcomes Kosovo's co-operation with OBI's economic and financial institutions, as well as urged the international community, including the will of the member states of OBI, to continue contributing to the promotion of Kosovo's economy.
