Merkel condemns German activists ban in Turkey

Merkel has strongly condemned Turkey today due to German human rights activists' ban

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has strongly condemned Turkey today because of the ban by German human rights activists, among whom is Peter Steudtner, noting that the move is absolutely unwarranted and that the German government will do everything to ensure their release.

We are convinced that this arrest is absolutely unwarranted. We, as German governments, condemn and express our solidarity even with other detainees”, Merkel said.
