Lekaj: We don't give “smuggling”, we haven't offered MPs outside PAN

MPs outside PANU have received nothing in return for the vote, but they believe in Haradinaj's unifying character. That's what Paul Lekay said about Metro.

Lekaj says no one should be surprised by the votes Haradinaj will get, remembering that Haradinaj three years ago had entrusted the post of prime minister and LDK's Vetevendosje (as part of the VLAN).

He denies charges of “conflictmation of deputies”, recalling that under the constitution, the mandate of MPs is free and, as such, is not submissive to party decisions or positions.

Days ago it was the Vetevendosje Movement that declared PAN doing “smuggling with deputies”.

But, the former head of the AAKA parliamentary group says no one should think that the MP's will should be in line with that of party bodies.

Even the Vetevendosje of any other party or coalition should not think that the MP's will should be in line with party organ decisions. We have many cases in past legislatures when status deputies have backed the opposition in opposition to party lines, but with the right to respect their free mandate”, Lekaj told newspapers.net

A few days ago Lekaj confirmed to the Metro newspaper that they are waiting only for the Certificate of results by the CEC to form Government, showing they have 2-3 votes from the coalition between LDK, Alternative and AKR (LAA).

“I have said that we have secured enough votes for the government vote, but we haven't offered anyone anything, the votes of other party MPs will be votes of their beliefs on Haradinaj's unifying personality. Let us not forget that now three years ago Haradinaj has been nominated for prime minister both by Vetevendosje and LDKım, this indicates that he is a political personality accepted by all”, Lekaj said.
