Military doctor Ennio Lettier, before the Italian Parliamentary Commission, reported today that the Italian contingent in Kosovo for a long time drank carcinogenic water.
According to the Italian newspaper “l Giornale”, Italian contingent on the KFOR mission in Kosovo has consumed, at least until 2016, cancerous water. This was reported by military doctor Ennio Lettier during the hearing before the Parliamentary Investigation Commission on the effects of impoverished uranium. The subcolonel complaint leaves no space for doubt: “Uji analyzed in 2015- 2016 contained bromats, a 2B carcinogenic class, at 65/97 microgram-liter”, compared to a limit tolerated of 10 micrograms-liter.
When I arrived at the base of the “Fim City” in Pristina, on October 14, 2016, I was repeatedly told of the highly suspicious taste of water distributed in the restaurant and the international gym, as well as the piscerins on the entire base”, said the doctor, who was later able to receive the test of the water done on January 30th 2015, which reported on “the broitive”.
The lieutenant colonel has talked about the situation with KFOR mission commander General Giovanni Fongo, who immediately agreed to the need to stop distribution and sale of this water. The natural water that had attractive effects is still being distributed into the base of “Fill City”.
But possible health risks are not limited to water. In fact, the Lieutenant said that “7km from Pristina lies the KEK energy company, whose chimneys are clearly visible from KFOR's base in Arberia neighbourhood and release yellow clouds making air polluted, especially in the evening hours, irritating respiratory routes. The dust coming out of the thermal power plants there, he noted, has lead, phenol (many carcinogenic) components and other chemicals that are stored several miles away to the base of KFOR command headquarters in Pristina and our police base is closer. Inhalation and swallowing of these particles that may enter the body are what caused 10 years later of tumor pathology”. /Sound/
