Meanwhile, successive air strikes hit parts of the Old Town of Mosul amid fears that fighters are waiting in ambush and have left explosive traps behind.
Lieutenant General Stephen Townsend at the head of the American Command Forces in Iraq said if we have to keep it I SIS from a evental show, the Iraqi government must do something very important differently.
