From next year, imports of cars older than 10 years

All those who want to import vehicles older than 10 years can do so by the end of December 2017.

After this month, no person will be able to register cars on the license plates of the Republic of Kosovo older than 10 years.

The new automotive law that has entered into force on June 27, 2017, has brought about major changes in vehicle registration rates. So say lawmakers at the Ministry of Infrastructure (MI).

Habib Hasani, official at the MI Automotive Department, says that with the new Law a person can register his vehicle without a driver's license. He adds that no vehicle can be bought, sold, or registered without paying all the fines imposed against the person who has committed a crime in traffic. The new law also envisions penalties for all who make the switch of miles of cars. / RTK
