A German court has sentenced its Muslim faith to five and a half years in prison Sven Lau, who is accused of recruiting jihadists to fight in Syria. Lau, who had been converted to Muslims since he was a teenager, is also sending money to help Islamists. Dusseldorf High Court [...]

Dusseldorf's Supreme Court on Wednesday sentenced Sven Lau to five and a half years in prison for helping with Islamic militants in Syria.

German prosecutors had sought a six-and-a-half-year prison sentence for Lauén, who was in custody since December 2015, reported “Deutsche Welle”, the Periscopi broadcast.

Lau, who was arrested in the German town of Montengladbach, was found guilty of supporting the terrorist group “Jamwa” whose full name is roughly translated as “of immigrants and aid” Which is active in Syria, which last year changed direction from the so-called “Islamic State” (IS) to “al Qaeda”.

The charges against Laué were returned in 2013, when the Islamic preacher recruited two sausages living in Germany to later join “Jamwa” in Syria. He also sent money worth about 1,440 euros ($ 1,674) to Islamist militants.

Prosecutors say Lau secured a vital link to “Jamwa” from Germany, while still linked to “the Islamic State”.

“Jamwa” is said to have committed war crimes, such as mass executions, as well as individual murders, including severed heads and the burning of living prisoners.

During the trial hearing, he heard evidence that Lau had also arranged the marriage of a friend who belonged to the Islamist faith with a 16-year-old girl from Austria.

Generally considered a leading figure on Germany's Salafiste stage, Lau gained international fame in 2014, when he founded an organisation calling himself “Police Service”

Members of the group patrolled roads in the western town of Wuppertal, in an effort to enforce the law of maturity, regarding alcohol consumption, gambling and the listening of music contrary to the rules of maturity./Periscopi/
