Frustrated French: The popularity of Macro falls markedly

French President Emmanuel Macron's popularity assessment has dropped by 10% this month, according to a “Iphop” survey.

This decline in the popularity of a president has not occurred since 1995. The survey, published in Journal du Dimanche, says 54% of people in France were satisfied with Macron in the month of harvest, compared to 64% in June. The president, who had the same popularity decline, was Jacques Chirac in 1995.

Macron has had a difficult month, beginning with the cuts in military spending, as well as the resignation of senior General Pierre de Villiers, Reuters writes, broadcast Periscopi.
