Court Makes Decision for Sabit Berisha

The defendant Sabit Berisha, who under the Constitutional Court's decision in Pristina, had been assigned the detention measure to 2605.2017 as suspected of criminal acts “the murder of senior representatives of the Republic of Kosovo” and “Prepared terrorist acts or criminal acts against constitutional order and security [...]

The defendant's lawyer, Nike Shala, has confirmed this for Klan Kosovo.

Shala has said the judge of the Parliamentary Court's preliminary procedure has made a decision that indictees Sabi Berisha will be replaced with the move to appear at the police station.

The defence panel had demanded that its client cease the detention measure and toʹti be replaced with any softer alternative measures since, according to him, the reasons for the court's appointment and continued detention of his client have ceased, and proposed that the prosecutor give consent to the judge of the preliminary procedure for changing the measure for ensuring the defendant's presence in criminal procedure.

The Constitutional Court in Pristina had appointed the detention measure for Sabit Berisha because the same one was suspected to be a member of the organisation “The people's office” and that the same has helped organise attacks on senior state officials.
