According to the magazine PV, the first phase, which includes a 50-megawatt power plant, was completed on June 30th. The project has just begun to power a network in northwestern China, and a second panda is scheduled for the end of this year, writes Periscopi.
Called the Panda Power Plant, it will be able to produce 3.2 kilowatts per hour of solar power for 25 years, according to the company. This will eliminate approximately millions of tonnes of coal, which may have been used to produce electricity, reducing carbon emissions from 2.74 million tonnes./Periscopi/
