Arifi: Workers are dying without taking 20 percent.

There are close to 46 thousand workers who have benefited from 20 per cent of the means for privatisation of social companies, the process which has started once by the Kosovo Trust Agency (AKM) and is already continuing the Kosovo Privatisation Agency (AKP).
So far, workers have been distributed more than 1m euros from the privatisation of social companies. But not all workers have benefited, there are also a large number who for years expect their name to be listed on lists to benefit from these tools.
However, Chief Economist Haxhi Arifi blames the Supreme Court's Special Chamber for delaying the treatment of worker complaints.
He has even said workers are dying without taking the 20 per cent due to the sale of social companies.
Arifi has calculated that in this direction the future government must intervene so that there will not be unlimited procrastination in treating workers' complaints from the Supreme Court's Special Chamber.
The biggest problem is the courts, the Special Chamber of the Supreme Court, the local panels, but also the internationals. There's a large number of lists that are there, I can say that by now, more than 1m euros have been distributed that have benefited approximately 44,000 workers, but there are still over 10,000 complaints, perhaps even more that wait for review. I think panels like locals, but international ones have to change the situation in the Special Chamber because workers cannot wait without borders. To be honest, there are those who are dying without taking the tools, even though they're inherited by anyone, Arifi said in a proposal for Online Economics.
The incoming government must intervene and more precisely conclude a neglect that happens there in concluding complaints made by workers, because for three to four years there is a complaint, where one prevents a list of 200 workers, and until the person's complaint is considered preventing other people on the list. The distribution of the tools cannot be done unless the complaint of that person is considered”, Arifi explained.
The BSPK head has stressed that this issue should be unblocked and that 2-3 complaints of workers to the Supreme Court's Special Chamber should not block a whole list of more than 200 workers.
“shouldn't block the process, but we need to distribute the means and other tools to save in the reserve fund that if they get the chance, they get, but if not, they get other workers”, Arifi said.
