The Democratic League of Kosovo is awaiting the Certificate of final results to make decisions in party bodies whether to join Vetevendosje in a possible ruling coalition, or PAN, even though for the latter, LDK officials say it is currently disfellowshipped for a possible ruling coalition.
LDK Deputy Chairman Agim Veliu said the LDK will make the best decision for itself and that it will not become a crutch to anyone.
But he stresses that they have not decided either for the PAN coalition or for Vetevendosje to form a coalition, because for this they will decide the LDK's organs, at the moment of the certificate of results.
Veliu says any decision the LDK bodies will bring will do.
“After current mood, we have not yet decided, nor have we been set for PAN, not for Vetevendosje. We will examine it very well, read the outcome of these elections and decide what is best for the LDK... It doesn't mean that it's the Vetevendosje option, we've said not at any cost that LDK will attempt to enter the government, follow the path which is best for the LDK. I will make the decision that it's the best for the LDK this time and it won't become a crutch to anyone”, Veliu said.
However, according to LDK's number two, there is an LA coalition stance just after the elections, so it doesn't coalition with the PAN.
“No, a possibility is disfellowshipped, you know, you have information, that LDK stance hasn't yet stayed, that attitude is from the first day after the elections when coalition partners have discussed and taken a joint stance that this time there is no coalition with the PAN. So it is the attitude of coalition partners up to this day, there is no change”, he said.
However, neither Vetevendosje, according to Veliu, is an option since the coalition with the PAN is disfellowshipped, because this time, no one is going to become a crutch.
In the June 11th elections, the LDK, along with coalition partners, AKR of Behgjet Pacolli and Alternative, came in third, after the coalition. P DK-AAK-Nisma, which won elections and Vetevendosje that came in second.
