The trees and vegetables injected with phytophormons are the latest threat to Kosovo consumers. Out of 21 million pounds of fruit and vegetables come from Albania, the state of Kosovo cannot guarantee that all this imported amount is safe from hormone stimulants. All of this for a scandalous reason, because there is no relevant laboratory to verify this deliberately developed abnormality by farmers.
No one can guarantee that Kosovars don't consume trees and vegetables with hormone content.
Wires are injected into vegetables by farmers, making them look larger and beautiful, but they are actually artificial adults.
The World Health Organization states that the effect of tree consumption and phytomone vegetables is not immediate.

Thus, consumption can cause various and later damage to the organism. Among other things, it can affect reproductive health.
Moreover, they are not perceived by consumers. But in the case of Kosovo, the situation is even worse. This is because vegetables with such content cannot tell even the relevant experts.
This is because they don't have devices that they could analyze their content.
The state of Kosovo is unable to ensure strict control of millions of kilograms of trees and vegetables imported within the year.
This is confirmed by Kosovo Food and Veterinary Agency officials.
We don't have any such report as to waste, pesticides and hormones (profitormones) we don't have the capacity to analyze in our country”, says Lamir Thaci from this agency.
He says the problem is not human capacities.
“Inspectorate Fiscient Border has sufficient human and analytical capacity for controlling imports of trees and vegetables”, Thaci says.
According to him, the importation of trees and vegetables is made from different locations.
We like inspectors do permanent controls at border points and customs terminals”.
And in terms of import, among many products, Kosovars spend millions of euros on imported trees and vegetables within the year. They behave from different European countries.
In the first six months of this year alone, Kosovars imported over 38 million and 275kg of trees and vegetables.
This amount, translated into monetary value, amounts to over 15m of 661 thousand euros.
Kosovo Customs officials told Periscope that this institution does not apply checks aimed at identifying quality and security.
“Dogana does not apply such checks as it is in the competence of the Food and Veterinary Agenda”, says Adriatic Stavileci, a media official in Kosovo Customs.
Kosovo's “Dogan controls all imports in our country in terms of taxing, assessment and tax collection”.
Stavileci says the import of trees and vegetables is done mainly by countries in the region.
In fact, based on official data provided by Periscop, Albania takes first place as Kosovars' country supplied with trees and vegetables.
Over 21 million pounds [21 million kg] of trees and vegetables, Kosovars have imported them from Albania, only during 2016, it exceeds 7m euros in monetary value.
This amount has increased for the first six months of this year, where from January through June, over 17 million pounds have been imported, which turned into monastic value, it totals over 5m euros.
Media in Albania reported that farmers there, use stimulants and hormones in growth and fruit roasting.

The first hand of tomatoes was found to be of hormones, which, for the most part, farmers continued to paint for outside frying.
Farmers themselves, unaware that they are being filmed secretly, have even claimed not to use these vegetables.
However, recent reports from Albania on increased hormones by some of the tomato growers, with the aim of accelerating their growth, have not exceeded the limits of overall concern in Kosovo.
In the Food and Veterina Agency, they have stated that out of 60 samples that have been sent for inspection and analysis, they have all been okay.
Otherwise, during 2016 alone, trees and vegetables have been imported and consumed, worth more than 22 million and 597 thousand dollars.
Subsequently, during the past year alone, according to Kosovo Customs, trees and vegetables have been imported over 55 million and 498 thousand 654kg.
All this amount of trees and vegetables has been imported to the country that has officially declared agriculture, and for which the Government has stated several times that it has fivefold the budget for the sector.
Of course, other countries from which Kosovo imports trees and vegetables in large quantities are also Macedonia, Turkey, Greece and the Netherlands.
Thus, for a year and a half, from January 2016 to June 2017, more than 93 million of all trees and vegetables have been imported to Kosovo from 42 European continent.
This means that only apples, pears, peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes or watermelons for 18 months have spent over 38m and 249 thousand euros.
Plant hormones or phytohormons are organic substances that are widely used in agriculture and are also known as plant - growing regulators.
These tendable hormones are used to sustain plant growth, but if they exceed the agreed amount, they can be harmful to human health. /Periscopi/
