In an article published in Nature magazine, just a week before the G-20 summit, climate experts have said that if they continue to grow or remain the same global emissions by 2020, temperature targets in the Paris climate agreement will be elusive.
The authors have identified six sectors within targets for 2020, including energy, infrastructure, transport, land use, industry and finance. According to them, these very important sectors can be worked towards lowering gas emissions.
The authors of this text have called on leaders attending the G-20 summit to think of 2020 as the crucial year for setting goals for climate change.
