In 2013, 17,400 taxpayers reported incomes of more than one million euros - 20 percent more than 2010.

The average gross income in the millionaire group is reported to be 2.7m euros.

With 79,200 taxpayers earning more than 250,731 a year, the largest tax rate of 45 percent has applied.

At the same time, 9.6m taxpayers are exempt from paying taxes because their annual income does not exceed 8,131 euros.
