Two blocks eyes to LDK

After announcing the final results of early elections for the Republic of Kosovo Assembly, held on 11 June by the Central Election Commission, political party representatives say they have not yet established post-election coalitions for the establishment of the country's new government. The coalition of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo and the Initiative Party, known as the PAN coalition, which leads with the largest number of seats in the Kosovo Assembly, 39 as well as the Vetevendosje Movement, which has 32 seats, intends that the ruling coalition will form with the coalition of the Democratic League of Kosovo, the New Kosovo Alliance and the Alternative, which has won 29 seats.
Pal Lekaj, deputy chairman of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, speaking of Radio Free Europe, stresses that the coalition PAN, like the mostly sitting coalition in the Assembly, will offer the country's first prime minister, Ramush Haradinaj. According to him, Haradinaj is communicating with the Democratic League of Kosovo to establish a ruling coalition, but has not yet concreteised any agreement.
However, as Lekaj says, the coalition The PAN has managed to secure the necessary number of 61 deputies, who will vote on Haradinaj's government, in which other party deputies are included.
“We have posted it, but even Mr. Haradinaj himself has said that we have 61 MPs who will support Haradinaj Government. But, in the next few days, a possible coalition with other political subjects is also expected. In this case, I think about LDK and AKR. If we disagree with the LDK and the AKR, then we can say we have a Government with 61 or 62 deputies and that it will be functional and will serve citizens”, Lekaj said.
On the other hand, the Vetevendosje Movement, claims to grant its mandate to prime minister that would form the country's new government, if the vote of the mandate offered by the PAN coalition fails.
Albanian Pantina by the Vetevendosje Movement, tells Radio Free Europe that the political subject it represents, still does not have any agreement on the ruling coalition with any political subject. But it does not rule out the possibility of co-operation with PAN coalition deputies as well.
“We have not yet joined the post-election coalition with any of the subjects who have won seats in the Assembly, either with pre-election coalitions, for forming the new government. We have made a public invitation to the Democratic League of Kosovo, along with its AKR coalition partners and the Alternative, as well as coalition deputies PAN, individual deputies who want and think they want to end the will of the citizens, who this time clearly voted for a change”.
On the other hand, Lekaj says regarding the establishment of the ruling coalition, coalition PAN has not ruled out the possibility of doing this with Vetevendosje Movement.
No, we didn't. But we didn't even talk to them about Vetevendosje”, Lekaj said.
Pantina says, however, that the Vetevendosje Movement is most aimed at reaching a possible agreement with the Democratic League of Kosovo.
“Vetevendosje leader Visar Ymer has also had a call earlier with LDK chairman Mustafa (Isa) and we are waiting to start talks with them to harmonise the governing programme, as there are several issues that are natural that we have different opinions about because we are different political subjects. And to determine the priorities of the Government, which must be set. But, we have to wait, initially, for coalition rights to be consumed PAN to dominate candidate”, Pantina points out.
However, the coalition of the Democratic League of Kosovo, the new Kosovo Alliance and the Alternative, following the announcement of final results of early parliamentary elections, has no longer emerged any stance regarding any possible post-election coalition. Despite the efforts of Radio Europe Free to contact LDK officials, which has the largest number of elected deputies within the ruling coalition, they have not been accessible.
