A State Department directive envisions establishing new rules for visa applicants from 6 Muslim countries, part of President Trump's executive order to stop entering America.
Exceptions will only be applicants who have close family members or business contracts with an American firm.
The new guidelines follow the Supreme Court's decision to partially put the president's decision prohibiting the entry into America of citizens from 6 countries: Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.
The State Department's guidance on new visa conditions for these countries has not been made public, but according to the agencies “Associated Press” and “Reuters” close family relations include parents, spouses, children, groom, bride, brother or sister in the United States.
Any other category of family ties is disfellowshipped.
