The president of the Republic of Kosovo, Kadri Wessel, hosted Macedonia's Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, who is standing for official visit to our country today.
Veselin and Prime Minister Zaev discussed reports that Pristina and Skopje have built between them at all levels of institutional co-operation, and simultaneously praised that this co-operation between the two countries serves peace, security and democratisation of the region.
Zaev's Veselini stressed that relations between the two countries are good, while voicing the commitment that interstate co-operation will further deepen in the future, in the spirit of common Euro-Atlantic orientation, as the region's only way of future.
Kosovo's chief parliament and Macedonia's prime minister considered Kosovo and Macedonia, as two neighbouring, independent and sovereign countries, to unite many things, therefore stressed the need to address common challenges.
Wessel said Kosovo follows good neighbourly policy and mutual co-operation as the only way of implementing common Euro-integration goals and ensuring the free circulation of people, goods and joint investments in the region.
He has recalled that Kosovo is at the top end of the “Zhaferi” highway, which connects Pristina and Skopje, which will facilitate citizens' communication and trade exchanges.
For his part, Macedonia's prime minister, Zoran Zaev, also pledged that soon his government would start the section of the highway from Skopje to the border point with Kosovo.
