Florenc Beciray is not the only Albanian to have lost his life under mysterious circumstances in French prisons.
Today, 23-year-old went to the last residence in his hometown, Shkodra.
Many are the citizens who went to the funeral, with no friendly circumstances, but only because the pain caused by the death of an innocent man who had gone to asylum in France, but returned to the coffin.
Among the many citizens who have been weeping for Florence today is Man Sinan from Lezha.
I remember my son Claudian... dead like Florenci in May this year, and I don't know what my son” found, he says in a long story about Opinion.al, aimed at sensationalising the Albanian state and primarily our embassy in France.
Man Sinan lives in the neighborhood “Skenderbej” in Lezha in an old groundy apartment. There are eight breaths that can barely afford a living.
But this is not the biggest problem for this family. Six months ago they received a shock message on Facebook: your son died!”, a Albanian prisoner in Lyons, France, was written. This is where the Sinan family drama begins.
The complete confession of the father seeking justice for the boy who died in mysterious circumstances in the Lyon prison in France:
On May 18, 2017, a message came to my older son, a Facebook message from an Albanian (from Kukes) who was serving his sentence in France. He wrote that “Klaudian died” My wife fainted. I wasn't trusted. I contacted my nephew in Germany that he had some friends in France, and he said: “But Claudian died in prison” I dropped like a bomb. How my 28-year-old son died. He's never been sick. Who killed my son.
The last time Claudian Sinan had been to his home in Lezha was February 2017. Dad says he's here to make his passport.
We begged him not to go... but he left. He has been wandering the streets of the world for a better future since 2012.
And he recently set out with the intention of taking asylum in France. The family had learned a few days in prison until they received the ominous news of death.
On May 21, I'm on my own from Rinas to France. I've been helped by some Albanian immigrants I want to thank. I first went to the police where Claudia was arrested. With my persistence they gave me the prison address. I went to Lyon prison and met the principal.
Who killed my son? I want cameras. Tell me what happened. The director told me that Claudian was in solitary confinement and that's where the camera was. He told me to go to the morgue that there will be an autopsy to determine the causes of death. I went to the morgue. There the autopsy was done without our legal permission.
On May 23rd, I was able to get into the morgue and see the boy. There were two signs behind the head, but the doctors told me that he didn't die from blows, but from drug overdose.
What pills- I said, I didn't have the boy sick. We don't give you another explanation. Wait for the expertise. With much suffering I have managed to bring my body to Albania and to perform the ceremony.
I borrowed 15 grand to bring the boy home dead. I called our consul at the time.
He said he'd help with the passage permit, but for the expense, I have something to do...
After all 40 I went back to France with my wife. We had the boy's stuff to pick up. His clothes, his passport. But most of all, we wanted to know how our son got lost like that... the shaking wind.
I got a lawyer. I spoke to the consul again on the phone, but no one was helping us learn how our child went... 28 years old.
I waited a few months until my answer came from the lawyer in November. She said I got forensic expertise. The letter my lawyer sent me, I'll give it to you. It says Kladio died of drug overdoses. So the doctor added the dose of drugs. Why would they do that? I am an Albanian citizen, but our state does not take anything to get this thing done. I only paid the lawyer to secure this letter. And who follows my son's trial? We're poor. I've been selling my house to pay off the debts I took to bury my son. To this day I don't know: Why was I arrested? Who poisoned him? Who killed Claudius?
Man Sinan wants justice for his son. He wants the Albanian Embassy in France to follow this issue. It requires sensationalisation, as young Albanians are dying of foreign prisons and no one is convicted. Man Sinan says it was the case of Florentus that reminded him that he too must raise his voice. Asked why he had not denounced his case earlier, he said: “I was in my plight, in my frustration, I didn't think that by saying it in the media I would win anything. But now that I have communicated with you, I feel relieved, as I think my son, and as Florence has many Albanians suffering prisons and I don't want to have the same fate...”
Attached is the letter the lawyer sent to the Sinan family, which is said based on forensic expertise, Claudia Sinan was treated with Metadon and Valium. Four days before his life was changed, the dose of these drugs was added. So the cause of death is drug overdose.
As we know, methadone is given to patients who depend on hard drugs. Even Claudian may have been such, despite the fact that his father said he had no knowledge. Still, his death deserves to be investigated as anyone else, even though the deceased may have been drug users!
