Today Mitrovica municipality head Agim Bahtiri and members of the Mitrovica municipality's Assembly have taken the oath, following the Certificate of local election results.
Under the Law on Local Self-Government, the inaugural session should lead the oldest member of the Municipal Parliament, which according to the results announced by the CEC, it is Avni Kastrati, former mayor of the municipality and chairman of the PDK branch in Mitrovica.
North.info learns Kastrati had resigned to the CEC last week, allowing him to be replaced by Alban Fazliu, who was the first in line of waiting for an assemblyist.
The sources of Portal North.info indicate that one of the reasons for causing Kastrac to resign is the very fact that he would have to sit next to the re-elected chairman and his former rival in the 2013 elections, Agim Bahtiri, thus caring for the success of taking his oath.
However, because of Avni Kastrati's resignation, the Senate has led the assemblyist Gani Haliti from the PDK ranks, which turned out to be the oldest by certified assemblyists.
We remember that in 2013 Avni Kastrati had suffered losses from Agim Bahtiri, who from the PDK was called accident, but suffered the same in the past month with Valdete Idriz. /Vervi.info
