Prosecutor Sylla Hoxha has warned other arrests of members of the organisation, which is being named terrorist by the state.
Some of the main leaders of the terrorist organisation “The People's Eye” are continuing to remain in custody, while Kosovo's investigator is demanding evidence that will prove the organisation's activity.
Murat Jashari, Avni Llumnica, Ragip Salova and Sabi Berisha and Sadri Ramabaja are now in custody, while Halim Halimi and Bajrush Konjusha are being protected in freedom.
They are being investigated by the Special Prosecutor for Criminal Work “the murder of senior representatives of the Republic of Kosovo” and “Preparing terrorist acts or criminal acts against the constitutional order and security of RKS”.
Special Prosecutor Silas Hoxha has told Gazeta Express that they are collecting evidence and listening to witnesses and, when all of this is carried out, will be prosecuted by indictment.
In a telephone conversation, Hoxha has not ruled out the possibility of new arrests in the case.
We're also investigating Murat Jasharin, but several other people. There may be more arrests, all depends on where the flow of investigations leads us. Now I don't want to interrupt, if we have indicators, we're probably going to act”.
The organisation had begun alleged terrorist activity in March this year, when Murat Jashar wounded lawyer Azem Vlasi in his office. Jashar himself admitted that he intended to kill the former Communist League official.
A few days later, the media had published a list of the names of over 30 public figures in Kosovo, Macedonia and the Presevo Valley, labeled as “trandants”, which must be executed by the “People's Office”, including Hashim Thaci's name, Isa Mustaf, Kadri Veselins of other state officials.
A few months later, he had fallen into police handcuffs, Sadri Rmabaja, a member of the Vetevendosje Movement, after the investigator had discovered that he had met Murat Yasari shortly before the latter injured Vlase.
Sadri Ramabaj's lawyer, Ramiz Krasniqi, has said his client will remain in custody until January 7th, while after that he will see what move the tribunal will utter.
