In the main square of the city, which is mostly calm, Caplija many people have lit candles and remembered former Bosnian Croat General Slobodan Praljak.
Croatian General Slobodan Pralyak's dramatic suicide by drinking poison while on trial at The Hague and in live television broadcast has shocked the world's public opinion. There is doubt that Pralyak has been drinking potassium cyonide and that this thing has caused him to die.
Dutch prosecutors said Pralyak, after he drank the strong poison, has suffered severe heart injury and this has caused his death. But reactions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in his hometown of Caplija and Mostar are different and varied. A municipal official in Caplija has said that the time has been banned in that country after what happened at The Hague. So said Miro Jovanovic.
