The president, Pedro Pablo Kuczynski, had pardoned Fujimore for health reasons, writes Periscopi.
Kuczynski acknowledged his anger in his decision, but said he could not allow Alberto Fujimore to die in prison”.
Fujimore, who is serving 25 years for human rights abuses and corruption, was transferred from prison to hospital last week.
