The recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel is a national decision and not a decision made by NATO, coalition Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said today, refusing to speculate about the US's upcoming announcement on the matter.
“are the nations who make decisions on these issues and this decision belongs to the US”, Stoltenberg said.
“NATO is not part of the Middle East peace process, but NATO allies have all supported efforts to find a peaceful solution to negotiate the conflict in the Middle East”, Stoltenberg added.
