Common support between Kosovo, Montenegro in integration processes
Pristina, 26 May- Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo Enver Hoxhaj hosted Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integrations of the Republic of Montenegro Milan Roićen.
The two ministers have discussed various topics of interest of both states, with particular emphasis on strengthening bilateral relations between the Republic of Kosovo and Montenegro, as well as on joint integration processes of the two neighbouring countries.
Minister Hoxhaj has thanked Montenegrin counterpart for recognising Kosovo's independence from Montenegro, just one day after extending the question of the legality of Kosovo's declaration of independence to the International Court of Justice.
Hoxhaj has said that today's visit to Kosovo occurred at a very important time for Kosovo, when regional co-operation and European integration in Kosovo, to Montenegro and the region are priorities for all countries.
Minister Hoxhaj has indicated that during the meeting with Minister Ro youths has been talking about the devotion of the Republic of Kosovo for the Montenegrin community in Kosovo to be located in the Constitution. “With constitutional differences to take place during 2011-2012, the Montenegrin community will be known through the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo”, Hoxhaj has said.
He has also indicated that with Minister Rouesen it has been discussed linking agreements between the two countries in the area of repatriation of displaced persons, which are expected to be signed by the end of June.
“We talked about and a basic agreement for economic and trade co-operation, for opening a new border crossing at Chokorr, which would enable people to move goods and ideas. We have also talked about the issue of movement of citizens only with identification between our two countries, which would greatly strengthen the free movement of people and help co-operation”, Kosovo's Foreign Minister announced.
On the other hand, Montenegro's Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integrations Milan Ro~en has said that recognition of the Republic of Kosovo and establishing diplomatic relations has been a decision directed against anyone, but has been in Montenegro's best interest and the interests of Kosovo and its people.

We have agreed on linking a series of agreements to follow, as we want to strengthen even the legal basis of our co-operation. Next month, Minister Hoxhaj will participate in the Adriatic Charter in Montenegro, and I hope that by then we will sign some bilateral agreements on repatriation, registration of the displaced in the Kosovo civil registry, agreement on creating conditions for the return of the displaced, and some agreements on economic land, such as the agreement on avoiding double taxes, on developing tourism, and a series of other agreements, said Montenegrin Foreign Minister.
Rokhaen has thanked the Government of Kosovo for all its until activities and plans to regulate the status of the Montenegrin national community in Kosovo.
“We would really like the members of the Montenegrin community to have that respect and protection what the Albanians have in Montenegro and that members of the Montenegrin community experience Kosovo as their own state, as do Albanians in Montenegro”, Roeken has said.
Regarding the exchange of ambassadors between the two countries, Minister RoBARen has said that the implementation of this issue has not impacted anything on the dynamics of reports between the two states, and that this has nothing to do with political issues, but with economic and budgetary difficulties.
“We plan next year to open the Embassy in Pristina, just as Kosovo will have the Embassy in Podgorica “, Rocheen said.
About the border demarcation issue between Kosovo and Montenegro, the two ministers have indicated that this issue is expected to be addressed by the end of this year, between the two countries' state commissions.
Regarding ideas for partitioning Kosovo, RoBARen has said that the time of division has passed and the time of drawing new borders in Balkan spaces.

As for the issue of the Strategy for Obligation for Recognition, Minister Hoxhaj has said this strategy is complete and that it will soon be submitted for approval in Government.
