Officials of the European Union Office in Pristina, of the Embassy of France and Norway have declared to the newspaper “Voice” that the deputies of the Kosovo Parliament must approve the current version of demarcation, as the 2015 agreement preserves Kosovo's international credibility despite the report of the New Commission on Border Marking with Mali [...]
Despite the report by the New Commission on Border Marking with Montenegro, which found that Kosovo loses territory from the current version of demarcation, foreign diplomatic representatives in Kosovo have said this agreement is correct and should be ratified as such.
According to them, earlier commissions (including the international one) have even conducted a thorough examination of this agreement indicating the accuracy of the agreement.
The French Embassy in Kosovo has said that both Kosovo and Montenegro's sides agreed to sign the Demarket Agreement more than two years ago.
The border demarcation Agreement, reached in 2015, was signed by the Montenegrin Government and the Government of Kosovo. The two sides thus agreed together to define the” border line, the embassy said in response.
Therefore, according to its officials, the two states' demarcation agreement must be approved.
This agreement must be ratified. It concerns Kosovo's international credibility. It is also a necessary condition for Kosovo to move towards visa liberalisation”, is further highlighted.
Meanwhile, the Norwegian Embassy in Kosovo has declared that the agreement, reached in 2015, is completely accurate.
“Norwegia believes previous commissions in both Kosovo and the international level have conducted a comprehensive, comprehensive and objective examination of the demarcation of the border between Kosovo and Montenegro and believes that the demarcation completed in the current agreement is correct”, said the Norwegian Embassy's response given <x2Zerit”.
In this case, speaking about the Government's decision to submit the Demarketing Agreement to the Parliament, the embassy has said that Norway welcomes the decision in question.
“Norwegia welcomes the decision to send the Demarket Agreement to the Parliament. She will now be in the Assembly to make her own decision. With the adoption of the Parliament agreement, it will facilitate Kosovo's further integration into European co-operation”, it is highlighted in response.
Meanwhile, during yesterday's New State Commission, at the helm of Bullicaj, presenting the final report before the Government, found that the former Commission (led by Murat Meha) has shifted the borderline between Kosovo and Montenegro.
