Asked on Albania's vote yesterday against The US spokesman for the president of the Republic, Teddy Blushi, confirmed that: The president of the Republic has not consulted and informed in advance about the position to be held on this important issue, not only for Albania's foreign policy, but for the entire Albanian nation.
The president estimates that this stance and this vote against, entirely unnecessary, does not reflect a state stance, and much more a stance of nationwide consensus.
The president stresses that we should not forget that the US remains the most important strategic ally and partner, towards attitudes and decisions such as should be well co-ordinated.
The Albanian people and nation never forget and are grateful to US historical decisions regarding the vital existence of the nation and the Euro-Atlantic future of Albania and Kosovo.
