A suspicious package which proved to be inside organic horse dung caused an alarm for the bomb
near the home of US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin in Los Angeles.
The trash-filled package was found at 7:40 a.m. near Mnuchin's house in Bel-Air, police said.
Police cleared the package an hour later and the Secret Service is investigating the event, CBS said.
Neighbors for local media, meanwhile, voiced revolt over the incident.
“We have bought $50 million home and cannot move, we can't get out”, said the husband of the late actress Zsa Zsa Gabor, Frederick von Anhalt, who was trapped for two hours.
“This is bad, they must find another way” he added.
