Ramush Haradinaj will no longer have the highest salary in Kosovo institutions. With or without knowledge, he has decided to raise Kosovo President Hashim Thaci's salary by 25 percent.
Out of 2,906 euros, it can get 3,635 per month starting in January 2018.
All of this because under the Law for President, Thaci cannot have the pay smaller than Parliament Speaker Kadri Veselin and Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj.
Under this law “Paga of the president of the Republic must always be at least twenty-five per cent (25%) higher than the general income of the head of the Republic of Kosovo's Parliament and other institutional leaders”.
Given the fact that Haradinaj has overlooked salary increases on the basis of coficients when raising his salary, the laws in power guarantee salary increases and Chief Parliamentary Veselin and President Thaci.
Thus, the Word newspaper has calculated the current salary of Kosovo Assembly Speaker, which is 2,325 euros. According to this, the president's salary is 581.25 euros higher, amounting to about 2,906 euros.
Meanwhile, with a 25 - percent increase in the money paid by the Speaker of the Parliament, the president is automatically raised wages for 3.635 a month.
