Haley: Trump's decision on Jerusalem advances Middle East peace process

American Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley today stressed that American President Donald Trump's decision to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and to shift the US Embassy would help the peace process in the Middle East. “
I think this would advance things for the peace process”, Haley confirmed to CNN television station.
“Trump has fulfilled the will of the American people”, she added referring to a law adopted by Congress in 1995, whose application has been postponed by previous presidents.
This text requires the transfer of the American Embassy from Tel-Aviv to Jerusalem, “Israeli State Mayor”.
Tens of thousands of manifestations have taken to the streets of the Middle East today and worldwide to protest Trump's decision, announced Wednesday.
“As far as discontent is concerned, we knew this would happen. But courage is the origin. When you make a decision, you know some would consider it negatively and some would consider it positively”, Haley stressed.
“After 22 years of postponement, the president thought it was time to try to advance things”, she added.
“Already, Israelis and Palestinians can unite to set the borders, belong to them to set limits and discuss what they want Jerusalem to become”, the US ambassador to the UN underlined.
