Habit Putin shows the way he'll run for president again

Russian President Vladimir Putin will run as independent in the upcoming presidential elections in March, but according to a statement he said it still depends on the broad support of the political parties and the Russian people.

Putin, who has been in power as the country's president or prime minister for more than a decade and a half, said Russia lacks a strong political opposition as these politicians have not been able to present a sufficient programme for the country's development.

Putin said the government should focus on increasing financial prosperity among the country's population, adding that everything should focus on increasing citizens' income.

Putin, who was first elected president of the country in 2000, said during a press conference that domestic production Bruto (PBB) of the country had increased 75 percent since his arrival in office.
