An anonymous buyer, via phone, was the only bidder at auction for this small village, located in the middle of a forest, and is the” home to the 15 people.
The village includes one street, nine houses, several other buildings, 10 garages and warehouses.
“There have been many interested people, even from abroad”, says Matthias Knake of the auction house” carausen”.
Residents are not very wealthy, and some buildings are damaged in their facades.
Alvin is part of the city of Webigau-Wahrenbrück, located 100 kilometers south of Berlin.
There are no shops, and the only bus on the line doesn't stop there.
