Among the recorded dangers is the slide of land and rock as a result of erosion caused by deforestation and the high presence of underground and surface waters. Problem is the slide in Brataj, Vlora and Pogradec. For the prevention of possible damage, the endangered areas near settlements and road axes are being inspected by authorities throughout the country and corresponding measures are being taken. For this, citizens are called for increased care in high-risk erosion areas.
In Tirana and Fier, 70 displaced citizens continue to be accommodated at the residential social centres. The underwater area has been reduced to about 4,000 ha, from over 10,000 acres of flooded land. The most affected areas are in Fier, Lushnje and Vlora.
After attracting the waters, state structures have begun disinfecting residences, health centres, schools, bajos, slaughterhouses and minimarkets, in the municipalities of Gjirokastra, Vlora, Berat, Oil Bridge and Kruje.
National teams are open. In some rural roads, work continues to unlock them. For bridges and road segments requiring long-term intervention, engineering assessment has begun, in co-operation with a team of experts from Italy. The lesson was not developed in 13 schools. Arrangements have been made to resume instruction in six more schools tomorrow.
Electricity supply has normalised and is working to improve water quality in the affected pipeline.
Relief distribution has begun in the affected areas. The Civil Emergency and Crisis Co-ordination Committee thanks citizens, businesses and international partners, who have expressed readiness and come to the aid of affected citizens.
