An Earthquake Strikes Italy

A 4.2 magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale today struck Amaterce, in the province of Riet. “The earthquake was 20 miles deep. The earthquake was located three miles [3 km] from Amaterice, nine miles [9 km] from Kampotosto (Acuila), 15 miles [15 km] from Cortino (Teramo), 16 kilometers from Arkata del Troto (Asskoli Piceno) and 56 km from Terni”, according to [...]
“The earthquake was 20 miles deep. The quake's episode was located three miles [3 km] from Amaterice, nine miles [9 km] from Kampotosto (Acuila), 15 miles [15 km] from Cortino (Teramo), 15 miles [16 km] from Arkata del Tronto (Askoli Picheno) and 56 miles [56 km] from Terni”, according to the National Institute of Seismology and Volcanology.
At present, there is no information about victims or material damage.
On August 24th last year, this area was hit by a powerful quake of six magnitudes on the Richter scale, causing about 300 deaths.
