Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has opened the 15th meeting of the Energy Community Ministerial Council, in which he expressed the government's commitment to drafting policies for integration into the regional electricity market.
In this case, the prime minister said they are fully committed to bringing legislation to European Union directives and to implementing it, asking for the European Commission's support.
Haradinaj announced at the meeting as well as the achievement of the agreement for the construction of the <x0-> New Kosovo thermal power plant, which he said the value of this investment is 1 billion and 300m euros, and will ensure a stable energy situation.
“The current challenges facing Kosovo, being limited to managing energy flows on the regional market and not functioning the 400 kilowatt Kosovo Albania line, we need to find solutions, with the contribution of all of us together, and I believe that for this we will get the support of all. The alignment of EU directives with the legislation of contracting parties is a necessary step. Applying in practice requires much greater commitment. We are aware of that and are fully engaged, yet even further, we seek your support, with particular emphasis on supporting the European Commission”, Haradinaj said.
