Kosovo Parliament deputies from the Vetevendosje Movement ranks Albin Kurti and Donika Kadaj-Bujupi are expected to complete detention on December 27th.
Whether or not they will be continued, the state prosecution will decide.
So has Qaday-Bujupi's attorney, Africa Salihu, who has stated that he must receive notice three days ago by the state prosecutor, which, according to him, has not yet been made.
During a proposal for Indexline, Salihu has said that regarding the state prosecutor's request, the Court will decide during the trial hearing, which is expected to be held on December 29th.
“Linked to continuation or not, state prosecution decides. If the state prosecution does not compile requests regarding continuing detention, the defendants are released. But if the prosecution decides to continue detention, then the court will make a decision on December 29th, when court hearings for them will be held”, Salhiu said.
Whether the prosecution's detention is required or not, Salihu is convinced 100 percent since December 29th, his client and Kurt will be released.
The procedure will propose the following because we have the last session on December 29th, so where is the final word. I think even if continued custody by the prosecution is required, they will be released on December 29th. I believe 100 percent”, he said.
Otherwise, Kurti and Qadaj Buyup were arrested on November 24th, who are accused of using weapons or dangerous means within the Kosovo Assembly.
