According to Kosovo Central Bank data (BQK), published in the regular report of the economy assessment for the third month, by September 2017 has been marked by smaller numbers of registered companies and smaller numbers of closed companies.
The number of new companies registered was 7,302 or 871 companies less than in the same period in 2016, while 1,191 companies or 666 less companies were closed.
The largest number of new registered companies continues to be concentrated in the trade sector with 1,951 new companies, followed by the hotel sector with 747 companies, production sector with 724 companies”, the report said.
According to BQC estimates, compared to the same period in 2016, in most sectors there has been a smaller number of registered companies. The biggest decline in the production sector has been marked by new companies registered by 211 less, followed by the trade sector, which was characterised by 200 less registered companies.
The main sectors marking the largest number of registered companies were the professional activities sector and construction sector 88 more companies, respectively.
