Arta Marki, 41, originally from Puka, graduated from the 2001 Magic School and on duty until yesterday, the deputy prosecutor of Shkodra is from today the Republic's new chief prosecutor. Arta Marku was voted in the post by Albania's parliament under war conditions. The opposition rejected the election of a chief prosecutor from the majority, demanding that the prosecution leader's name be issued by the KLP. But in addition to protest outside parliament's doors, physical confrontation in parliament's hall, smokeers in the hall, the majority led to the end of its mission.
So Arta Mark takes office and goes to the Attorney General from today. It will be temporary in this capacity, indefinitely until the selection of new justice organs.
Arta Mark has been a prosecutor for 15 years in the Shkodra Circle, where she has held various tasks, as chief of the task force unit in 2006 and as vice-director of the prosecution until 2016.
Mrs. Mark has begun her career at the time when the chief prosecutor at Shkodra was Ulyssy Manya, today chairman of the Law Commission.
What was noted during her presentation to the Law Commission was the fact that there had never been important files.
Arta Marka owns a modest fortune because she lives in a 55 square metre apartment, but with the purchase of a loan along with her husband they bought another apartment in 2007. She's married to a judicial police officer and has two minor girls. /Opinion. al
