The former adviser's guilt for security cannot harm Trump's administration

U.S. media reports report that despite the guilt of former High Security Council Michael Flynn, the investigation led by Robert Mueller is unlikely to lead to a significant political outcome for the Trump administration. Former US President Donald Trump's security adviser, Michael Flynn, has pleaded guilty to the charges [...]

Former US President Donald Trump's security adviser, Michael Flynn, has been found guilty of allegedly making false statements to the FBI for his contacts with then Russian Ambassador to the US Sergei Kislyak.

The move was initially portrayed as one of the most important turns in Robert Mueller's special investigation into the alleged deal with the Russian Trump team and their efforts to prevent investigations, reports “Sputnik International” Transmission Periscope.

“Always had smoke, Mueller's latest moves show that he believes he found fire”, a article “The Sydney Morning Herald” noted. According to the paper, although Muller's plan is optimistic in the positive context, possibly including raising more charges against people at the White House, the investigation is likely to be completed before Christmas “, without many detection”.

In particular, the paper suggests that Mueller believes that people even closer to president, or even Trump, himself may have violated the law in co-operation with Russia, trying to disrupt the subsequent investigation.

According to the article, however, the results of the investigation no matter how far they go they will not harm Trump.

“These would be indisputable acts, but impeachment is a political and non-trial process, which must be carried out by a congress controlled by Republicans”, says the report, stressing that Trump continues to have support in the republican base and American lawmakers so far have not been willing to challenge it. ” /Periscopi/
